Islands ‘Iles des Lerins’

THE MOST POPULAR DESTINATION !
Just opposite the Bay of Cannes, a short boat ride away from La Croisette and the habor, the beautiful islands Sainte Marguerite and Saint Honorat, called Iles des of Lerins, await you. Situated in an unspoilt, natural setting, these Mediterranean beauty spots offer visitors a unique combination of flora and fauna, as well as an unusual history that includes the mysteries of the Man in the Iron Mask and the tranquility of Cistercian monks. The islands are without any doubt the most popular destination for day charters.
Between the islands it is where the British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor created the eco-under water museum to immerse his new works of art, according to the theme of masks. This theme refers in particular to the famous “Iron Mask”, a famous prisoner locked up in the state prison on Sainte-Marguerite Island from 1687 to 1698.

Contrary to most destinations we offer a fixed fuel forfait for a day trip to the islands at €150. Instead of fueling up in the morning and again when we return to the harbor, wich does take some precious time, we propose this option to our guests.

The most trendy restaurant at this moment is the restaurant La Guerite on the island Sainte Marguerite(+33 4 93 43 49 30). On the island Saint Honorat is also a more traditional restaurant, La Tonelle(+33 4 92 99 54 08) . For both island you need to call a water taxi as our yacht is oversized to enter their harbors.  But while swimming between the islands there are a lot of boats that offer catering on board. There is a (good) Pizza boat , there is sushi, sandwiches, ice cream and beverages.

To make it back in time you will have to leave Saint Tropez around 4 pm.

The Bay of Nice is called the Bay of Angels. Who are these angels? If you believe the legend, they were the angels that brought Adam and Eve here after they’d been driven out of paradise, choosing them the lushest and most beautiful place on the coastline. From Cap d’Antibes to Nice and its legendary Promenade des Anglais, the Baie des Anges couldn’t be more perfectly situated, along a Côte d’Azur lapped by the big blue. Its full splendour is best appreciated from the hilltop villages of Saint-Paul-de-Vence or Eze, from where the view stretches as far as the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
Just around the corner of Nice is the beautiful, idyllic Bay of Villefranche s/ Mer. A must see!
